What is Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy?

Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy is a real-time simulation game that allows users to show their skills in creating virtual basketball teams consisting of players who take part in the 2023/24 ABA League season. Each Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team will consist of 10 players at a time. An Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team's weekly score will be based on the official index rating of all 10 players and the success of their teams in the real ABA League games. Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy will be played during ABA League Regular Season only. The weekly and cumulative scores of all participating Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy teams will determine rankings.

DURATION

Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy will start mid-September 2023 and will last until the final date of the ABA League Regular Season. Participants may register teams at any time from the launch of the 2023/24 Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy through the Regular Season.

RESTRICTIONS

ABA League employees and all paid collaborators may play the game but are not eligible to win any prizes. Should any of the above-mentioned win a prize, this would go to the next-ranked team.

COMPETITION SYSTEM

Each registered user may create ten (10) teams only. Each team will have an initial budget of 350 credits and must put together a team with ten (10) players distributed as follows:

  • 2 point guards
  • 4 shooting guards and small forwards
  • 4 power forwards and centers
Each team will be allowed to substitute three (3) players per week. The substitution period begins immediately after first match of previous round starts and will expire 15 minutes before the start of the next round's first game. Once per season, each player will have a right to change the entire team between the two rounds.

SCORES

Each official ABA League player will get his own Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy score for each and every ABA League game in which he officially plays one second or more. His score will be the equivalent of his official ABA League statistical valuation in that game, plus a 10% bonus when his ABA League team wins. The bonus will not be applied if a player receives an index rating of zero (0) or lower. Each team will have an option to select one player as a captain, which will receive a double amount of points, scored in a single round.

Players who do not appear in a game will receive a Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy score of zero (0) for that week.

For all rescheduling of the ABA League games, the players’ average scores will be counted as their round scores in case the game will not be played in the same week as it has been initially planned.

The score of each Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team is obtained adding the individual scores of its ten (10) players, negative scores included. Each Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team will have a weekly score and, starting the second week, an accumulated score. New weekly and accumulated standings for all Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy teams will be published after the conclusion of each round of ABA League Regular Season.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

A starting budget of 350 credits for the purchase of 10 players is available to each new Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team.

The price of players may rise or fall after the season begins, depending on their average index ratings in ABA League games and the success of their teams. Index rating points will be applied to each player's price in credits at a rate of one to four (1 index rating point = 4 credits). The same rate will be applied to the 10% bonus for players with positive index ratings in weeks when their teams win official ABA League games. A player's price may not go up or down more than 15% from one week to the next, although his average index rating may keep his price rising or falling. No player's price can fall below 5 credits. There is no maximum price in credits for a player.

Before the start of the ABA League season, players may be bought and sold freely up to the limit of 10 players and 350 total credits per team. After the start of the season, no more than three (3) players per Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team may be bought or sold, according to their current price in credits, between the two rounds. All substitutions must be made at least 15 minutes before the start of the first ABA League match of the round. After that, the teams will be locked until the end of the last game of the round.

If fewer than 350 credits are spent at the time of creating a Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team, the extra credits remain available for use in the future. The worth of a Admiral Bet ABA Basketball Fantasy team may rise above 350 credits due to increases in the value of that team's players.
